Blank or missing From and Subject fields in junk mail

Some of the junk email I receive apparently have no From and Subject fields.
This is a problem because, first, these emails are not ever caught by the
automatic junk filter, and second, I am unable to add these emails to my
Blocked Senders list -- nothing happens when I use (right click, Junk
E-mail, Add to Blocked Senders List). When I look at the options for these
messages, I see no From address, which I assume is causing the problem. How
do these emails do this? And, is there any way to set up a rule to catch
these messages? I looked through the rule wazard, but I couldn't see any way
of setting up a rule for blank or missing From and Subject lines.

Thanks for any information,

You can delete all messages with blank subject lines by following these
instructions: http://support.microsoft.com/?id=253277 . This, of course,
isn't rule-based.

However, this may work. I haven't tried it, though. Create a rule that
deletes all mail, but add an exception where the subject contains any letter
or digit. This should delete all messages whose subject is either blank or
contains only punctuation.

Interesting idea, thanks.

I was afraid of that. You'd think by OL 2003 that would've been taken care
of.
