I was told this is a Setting problem. Have tried everything but didn't help -
would be forever grateful if someoen can:

Everytime I open Word, an old document appears as 'Document 1', which means
I have to delete it before typing in new doc. Same goes for Document 2, 3,
and so on.

Everytime I click on "Blank' same doc appears and I have to delete before
proceeding further.

I would like to have my blank document back please. I'm using Word X for Mac.

No, it's not a setting (at least not in the sense that you can easily
change an option or two to make your blank documents behave as
expected). For a description of what to do about the problem, please
