Blank monitor on startup?

Our monitor does not come on when we startup each
morning. We thought it was going bad so we raplaced it
only to find the same thing happened with the new one. We
replaced the video card, but same problem. We have now
replaced the PC and the monitor still doesn't startup in
the mornings. We have tried yet another monitor and still
have a blank screen. I have discovered that if I
disconnect the monitor cord from the video card and
reattach it several seconds later the screen will them
display.
I hope someone has some ideas. This is very strange!

I don't have an answer for you, but am wondering if you
and I might be experiencing the same problem. As the
machine boots, do you see anything on the screen? Do you
see any BIOS messages or the Windows logo screen? My
problem is that everything is fine up until the Windows
logo screen, and THEN the screen goes blank. The only way
I can get video is to press F8 as the machine is booting
and select "VGA mode" from the list of options, but then
I am limited to a 640x480 display. This is driving me
bonkers.
