Blank header added when sending email in Outlook

I've noticed that when I send emails a blank header (always 3 or 4 kb) is
added. I did not know that until someone else mentioned it.

Any ideas on why this is being added and how to stop it?

Thanks,
Dean

And what is the header name? If the line is completely blank (or just
looks that way), what is the header name just before this blank area?
Could be a bunch of tabs are getting appended onto that prior header to
make it so long that the next line gets moved down due to line-wrap.

Vanguard,
The header is named: header.htm. There is normally only one header or
attachment and it is always named the same. The only difference is that
sometimes it is 3 km and sometimes 4 km. But, when I try to open it is
always blank, as least what I can see.

Thanks for any ideas.

I thought you were actually asking about the headers in your e-mail, not
some file named "header" that got attached to your e-mail. Regardless
of its name, that is a *file* (which is represented as an encoded part
within the body of your message).

Send the message to yourself and retrieve it using Outlook Express. In
OE, look at the raw format of the file (select the e-mail and hit
Ctrl+F3). You'll then see the MIME parts that contain the attached
file. That might give you a clue as to what is in the attached file.
Otherwise, update your anti-virus scanner, run a full scan, and also
scan using Ad-Aware SE, Spybot S&D, MS Antispyware, and Pest Patrol
(their online scan is free).

Also try starting Outlook in safe mode ("outlook.exe /safe"). Could be
one of the plug-ins is screwing up. Tools -> Options -> Other ->
Advanced.
