In the last week, I am receiving several blank emails a day in Outlook.
There is no to or from and no message. All that shows up is the time sent.
I don't know where they are coming from or how to stop them. I thought I may
have a virus, so I did a total scan of my computer with McAfee and nothing
showed up. Has anyone seen this before? What can I do?

I came to this webpage to report the same thing; it is unnerving; anyone else

This is a dup; I failed to click on notify me of replies

They are spam. Some spam filters block an ip address based on the
percentage of spammy messages originating from it and blank messages help
spammers to
look less spammy

So does that mean there is nothing to be done?; also, why spam 'nothing'? Is
this a Seinfeld Episode?

I have exactly the same problem and have been asking exactly the same
questions. I hope someone answers. If this is just annoying it is one
thing, but if it is dangerous it is something else entirely.

Have you recently restarted outlook? If not, do so.

Have you looked at the mailbox using an browser? Can you either see blank
messages or can you identify messages that outlook may not be downloading?

It is spam, and many people receive these messages. There are many
reasons why spammers would send blank spam; malfunctioning spamware,
out-of-work spammers who still feel the need to harass people, infected
computers, etc.

Most spam filers detect these blank messages and eliminate them before
you can see them.
