blank desktop after activation

after using my computer for some weeks now...I turn on the computer only for
it to ask me to re activate it....upon doing so, and a reboot...I find the
computer boots up to the wallpaper with NO ICONS on it...WHAT IS GOING ON????

If you have Tweak UI, try the Icon Repair. If not, try deleting the Icon
Cache and rebooting (it will rebuild). You may have too many icons and
need to increase the size of your icon cache. See line 121 at this site:

I just payed attention to the computer's request for you to "reactivate" it.
Is it asking you to reactivate Windows XP? Have you made any hardware
changes to the system lately? If not, I am out of ideas......we will need a
guru....one should be along shortly.
