is also working in some computer. but when boot to the original machine can't
hear any beep. but the memory is working in some other machine. Any idea
please ..do I need to change this memory? thanks a lot

Sounds like your motherboard/cpu has gone west.. that's not a good thing,
btw..

I believe the OP stated there was no POST beep.

Are you sure your PS is working? It could be "working" but not supplying
the needed wattage.

Usually if there isn't a POST beep, it's related to the MB/CPU.

You have some hardware failure. This has nothing to do with the
operating system (XP) since the problem occurs before the operating
system is booted. If you know the memory works in another machine, then
you know some other component has failed. Unfortunately,
troubleshooting hardware basically means swapping out bits until you
determine which piece is causing the problem.

Swap out the video card. If you have the same problem with another video
card, it is probably your motherboard.
