BKDR VIRUS

My desktop computer AntiVirus program tells me that it has a virus named: BKDR_IRBOT.U in my windows\system 32 file. Of course, it says that it cannot fix it. What can I do to fix my computer without losing everything that I have on it

My husband bought me a different AntiVirus program, which I installed and ran. It deleted a different windows system file, and now my computer freezes every time I start it

What can I do? I can't afford to lose everything I have right now. I need at least a little time to back things up

Help!
 
Am i the only one that found nothing about the "BKDR_IRBOT.U" virus

what problems is the virus causing be a little more specific in your description what operating system r u using what anti virus program?
 
There are things u can buy so u may save ur memory. So everything on ur computer can be deleted, but u may just back it up. Simple, just buy one.
 
I am running Windows XP. My Anti Virus program is part of Vtech System Suite. This virus is detected every time I start Windows, and seems to be affecting Word, Outlook and Internet Explorer more than anything else.
