So, uTorrent is not *just* for "phone home" functionality, anymore. *;^0

The aim is to development new content distribution applications on the
Web.

That, and nothing else, is what it says on PeerFactor, a distinctly
anti-p2p enterprise launched in April, 2004, and owned by France's
RetSpan, with Didier Wang at its head.

Mission? To poison the p2p networks on behalf of the Big Four record
labels.

It is more about Ludvig Strigeus' sideproject than about uTorrent,
but it also puts a spotlight on uTorrent being closed source.
I wondered when eventually this story would turn up here.
A debate between the 'paranoids' and the 'pro-Ludde' camp:

also with contributions by Ludde. Juicy stuff.
May have as consequence that some people don't want to use uTorrent.
(I don't do file sharing in any form but FWIW, I would be in Ludde's
camp. I'm not much of a tin-foil guy anyway.)
