Better late than never I say..I got plenty of prizes from family and friends. Anf from myself I have ordered an Engine Management system (ECU) from Motech, and a comlplete custom stainless exhaust from Milltek for my R32 Golf. When that arrives, save up some more money and get it all set up on a dyno, and hopefully see a huge BHP increase....Tha's my prize to myself..

Is that the V8 model??...if so how much more ooomph are ya looking for ??

Nah R32 is V6 3.2 litre. I bought mine from a guy that had done a fare amount of work to it. He had it bored and stroked, so displacement is now just on 3.6 litre. Heads have been gas flowed and ported.Bigger green injectors. Fast high lift road cams. and that already took the power from 250 bhp to just shy of 300 bhp..With the full exhaust and new ECU when it goes on the dyno we might see around 320. If I could afford a turbo conversion I would be jumping for one..I would be happy with 500bhp. But won't get that from a normally aspirated engine. And when you looking at that sort of bhp, you also looking at upgrading gearbox and drive shafts and breaks..lol it just starts to get in silly money teritory there. But I suppose I can dream can't I ?

It's great if you have wonga and a spare garage with loadsa tools.....and of course, youth...lol
Many's the time i skinned me knuckles when a spanner slipped....ooooowch. Then there's the lieing down on a socket wrench underneath a car....naaah leave itto the garage folk.....ya must post a pic or two.
