many, many thanks, everyone! 
made the 100-mile journey today { along w/our kitties } to spend a week w/my folks, and did a lot* of cooking during the week so that i could bring food up so Mom doesn't get stuck w/all the cooking while i'm here,,
anyway, ~ we all enjoyed the special b-day meal tonight that she made for me [ Rouladen ] and, after waitin' an hour { so that we had room in our bellies 
}, ~ ravished the Mocha layer cake Dad made for me . 'twas wonderful being w/family to celebrate , though am quite knackered now, ~ 'twas busy day,,!
