press akey to go in to bios before windows starts
it varies which key but usualy f1 f2 or most common is delete

look for boot order or similar and change as required.

take care in here you can mess things up real good.

exit and DO NOT save changes if you are not sure

Well I am trying to change the order in which the drives start up. Someone
told me to go into BIOS and make sure that they are in order.

I have tried that and it dosen't seem to work. I have Windows XP Home
Edition. A Sony VAIO PCV-RX50. Would you have any Idea which one specifically
I would push? Also do you hold it down? And exactly when do you press it?

Read the manual that came with your system. It should have explicit
instructions on how to get into the BIOS.

Only you know what motherboard and BIOS you have, so only you know
the answer to your question. ;-}

In the extremely unlikely event that your PC's manual or the
motherboard manufacturer's web site doesn't contain the needed
information, try one or more of the following:

How do I access my computer's setup (BIOS)

A friend of mine has a similar sony, except different model. Their bios
key is delete. I would press it sometime right after you hear the floppy
drive noise, or as soon as you see anything on the screen. Do not hold.
Some computers also have F2 for bios. Try them all. Most likely you are
pushing it too late.
