BIOS cannot do that.

You may want to try removing your CMOS battery, then wait a few minutes and
put it back in. Make sure your computer is unplugged too. This should
solve it.

Here is info about replacing a CMOS battery, which should help you:

For the person who said that BIOS cannot do that, you may want to look at
this PDF file from Intel which is for BIOS settings for a board. If you
look there are two language selections. English and French. It is possible
other manufacturers have more languages to choose from. To think BIOS's are
only in English is ridiculous.

Follow the instructions in the computer's manual for selecting the
BIOS' display language.

Not by itself, no; but many modern BIOS' do offer the option of
selecting a display language.

Following the manual would be great if the person could read Chinese. This
person obviously can't and needs to force it to reset to English. I believe
removing the CMOS battery would be best because it would remove the setting.
If English is the default, it will revert to English.

Or, find a person that can read Chinese and go through the manual and tell
them what to do, then they can reset the BIOS for you because they can read
the screen.

It may very well be that Chinese is the default and that that's why the OP
is in this predicament...

Why would the manual be in Chinese? Why would an English-reader have a
accepted a Chinese-language manual when purchasing the computer?

Or, as is more likely, it's already been reset to its default: Chinese.

Or, find a person that can read Chinese and go through the manual and tell
them what to do, then they can reset the BIOS for you because they can read
the screen.

I find a small problem with your argument.

1. I meant that if the screen was in Chinese following any manual wouldn't
help if you can't read Chinese. Whether the manual be in English or
Chinese.

2. Your second argument negates the first one. You asked "Why would the
manual be in Chinese? Why would an English-reader have accepted a
Chinese-language manual when purchasing the computer?" I agree. That is
why your second argument makes no sense. So I'll ask you this question:
Why would the default language of the BIOS of a computer be in Chinese if an
English reader wouldn't accept a Chinese-language manual when purchasing the
computer? Wouldn't the default then be.......English?

"Why would an English-reader have accepted a Chinese-language manual when
purchasing the computer?"
The same reason why so many buy a computer in another country and then come
here and ask how to change the language of Windows.
That is a regular question in these newsgroups because it is a regular
occurance..

But until the OP responds back and gives the relevant missing details, we
will not know the answer.
