Where do I go to see whether my BIOS have USB Keyboard support
I know how to go to the BIOS page by pressing delete on startup.
There are 13 choices on the Menu....I already selected "Optimiz
Default settings and saved....But still F8 does not work on start up

If you entered the BIOS you'd have to asume the keyboard works right..
Try at start-up,imediatly start tapping the F8 key.

Ok Andrew...I will keep trying. Do you know o
USB keyboards having trouble with F8
AND A BIG THANK YOU for your HELP!!!!

Do you have a keyboard with an F-Lock key (available from various
manufacturers) that toggles the purpose of the Function keys? If yes, try
holding that key down while tapping F8.

No I don't have F-lock on my keyboard...I got a new USB keyboard,,,but stil
F8 tapping on bootup is not doing anything. Any Ideas? Could it be a US
setting under the hardware, devices in My Computer? Or do I need to check a BIO
setting..."enable USB" or something. The computer is clean and the registry has bee
checked for anything funny....the computer is made at Computernet and is 6 months new

If the option is available in BIOS, yes, enable it. Wording will vary.
You'll see something similar to "Legacy USB" or "USB - Keyboard/Mouse."

You're welcome. As far as updating BIOS goes... look for a description of
what the available updates address. If you are experiencing one of those
problems, use it. If it adds features that you would like to have, use it.

If on the other hand, the update adds nothing you're interested in and you
are not having the problems described in the update history - skip it.

Updating BIOS can be a tricky business. If you are not sure about the
procedure, have a knowledgeable friend or a pro do it for you. Messing up
here can easily turn your computer into an expensive doorstop.
