What is BIOS caching and how can I disable it. What is BIOS shadowing and
how can I disable it.

they are settings in the bios; upon reboot enter the bios and adjust them.

they SHOULD be disabled, you do not need those settings w/ a modern
machine.

I have seen many abusive responses to peoples questions by you, and NEVER
have I seen you include an answer with your abusive comments. How about
following some MORAL guidelines (As well as attempting to figure out the
purpose of this newsgroup), and APPLY them. Read my comments to you in 2
other questions posted, and your rude comments in those. (Hard Drive Not
Accessable-6/11 & Installing XP Home "Trouble"-6/11) Who do you think you
are? You should be banned from this newsgroup, which is designed to HELP
people...Get the H@#L out of here!!!

ROM BIOS shadowing is the process of copying the BIOS from ROM into RAM and
using either hardware or 386 enhanced mode to remap the RAM into the normal
address space of the BIOS. Because reading RAM is much faster than reading
ROM, BIOS-intensive operations are substantially faster.
You can disable the BIOS shadowing in the BIOS Setup, please refer to your
computer motherboard manual for details.
