I'm noticing that the device I'm trying to use seems to cause the inclusion
of a Biometric class installer when I install it on XP Pro. I don't see a
"Class Installer Biometric Devices" included in XPE.
Microsoft mentions the class installer in:
http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/d...y/en-us/install/hh/install/setup-cls_2i1z.asp
but states that it's only available in 2003 and beyond. Therefore, I'm
assuming that the install program I'm running is creating the class
installer then proceeding with it's own driver install. I've looked through
the registry and found an entry for the class installer, but it seems to be
based off of a different GUID than suggested in the link above.
Does this sound familiar to anyone?
I'm about to redo the install to capture the registry keys added during the
install. The install will do WAY MORE than just create the class installer,
so I was hoping someone else had gone through this exercise already.
