This message pops up on opening a text download from a Mac computer saying Bin Hex 4.0 is needed to translate. All that appears on the text block is computer language, yet I can send text to the office Mac with no problem.

When you say download, do you mean email attachment? If so, get the sender
to change the encoding to 'for any computer' when they send it. In Outlook
Express for Mac they choose the options button while composing the mail.
Offhand I can't picture the options (I won't have a Mac handy until Monday),
but somewhere in there are four encoding options: UUENCODE; BinHex; For any
computer; and I can't remember the forth, sorry... it's been a long day.
They need to ensure 'Encode for any computer' is selected. Text will now
arrive sensibly. to make it even easier, make sure a .txt file extension is
added to the file.
