Billing System

I need to set up a billing system, where I can enter the charges,
payments, and post finance charges every 30 days after the first 30
days)


I have the following tables:
Billing Table
[CaseNum], [Item], [Cost]


Payment Table
[CaseNum], [Payee], [Method], [Amount]

and for the Finance Charges 1% a month... I don't have a clue.
What Else Do I need?

If I were you, I would invest in a nice accounting package like QuickBooks
or PeachTree or similar.

It is generally accepted in these groups that accounting is NOT a wheel you want
to reinvent. The packages that have already "been there, done that" are simply
too inexpensive to make it worthwhile and you don't want to incur financial (and
possibly legal) problems while you're trying to get it right.
