I am trying to maintain a bill-of-material structure in Access. I have a
query to select an item master table, the structure table, and a second
instance of the item master. In my form I dispay the highest level item and
in the subform I display the items that belong to it. But then I cannot evey
type in an item number in the sub form.

Does anyone know of a template that might deal with this issue?

Thank you

I noticed that nobody answered.

Templates are ideal when available, but framing the question that way sort
of says that you only want it pre-done vs. asking for help. You might want
to repost if looking for help but no template is available.

David,
this question comes up now and then. There are samples and examples around
( not many ).
A good place to start is to search these discussion groups, then try The
Access Web, then google for it.
