I think I really did it this time. I am not sure if it was me or a virus
though. I played with Tweekui and may have caused my first indication of
BAD. I could not access a shortcut to 'Add/Remove Programs' on my desktop
with a message I was not allowed access. I logged on as administrator again
just to make sure. I had made changes with Tweekui to remove things I never
really used from the start menu but I don't recall referring to the Control
Panel. I am not allowed there now. I had also tried to install a Canon
Scanner which may have gone bad earlier this morning also. I tried system
restore to when I first logged on this morning when all was well now System
Restore is acting up and I get 'not responding' message every time I try a
restore. One thing I did notice is that I see in the command window that the
command 'net share PWs /delete' appears and I have no idea how it got there.
this is why I wonder if I have been invaded. I can still start up the system
but system restore is not working and I am out of idea just what to do next.
I have Intel P4 3Gig CPU 2 Gigs DDR2 XP Pro. Can any one help?
TIA.
