Big time problem with Window explorer !!

I have tried to fix this problem since 1 week and nothing is working. I just
hope that I don'y have to format... once more! Any help will be very much
appreciated.

Problem:

When I right clic on any folder on my Window Explorer (not Internet
explorer) I have a message saying that Explorer.exe must shut down because
of a problem. There is no explanation on how to repair this problem.

(I have windows xp Pro in French)

The problem seem to come from the file shell32.dll

I have done: the latest update, replace the sp1a pack, virus scan, spyboot,
spy sweeper, trojan remover, ad remover

I have also find this web page that explain aprt of the problem and done

Try these steps to reinstall Explorer.

at a dos prompt type this command sfc /scannow
insert the Winxp cd in the cd drive and follow instructions.
when the process is complete the repair of IE will be done and you can check if the problem still persists.

However I found on the Internet this very usefull information last night
concerning my problem and it is actualy working !!!

Try looking @ these SPECIFIC areas in the registry:

HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Directory\shell

HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Directory\shellex

* They're 2 of the areas that allow right-click of folder "shell
extensions"... you can attempt to strip those down to remove some of what
applications add-on. <<<<<

Also problem may come from this software: Spy Sweeper, need to uncheck the
Internet option.
