We are about to launch the next version of TcD (http://www.tcd.in).
This version adds a whole new set of new features and full help files!
We need you to read through all of the help files and make sure
everything is consistent and makes sense. All suggestions and comments
are welcome! The intended audience for this software is intermediate
to advanced internet users.

You can download the help files here:
http://beta.tcd.in/forums/TcD_help_files.chm

The application itself is here: http://beta.tcd.in/forums/TcDsetup.zip

NOTE this is a beta release so there may still be some bugs. If you
notice that something does not work as indicated in the help files or
if is some other error that occurs of course we want to know about it.

There are lots of short entries in the help files and we expect you to
look at all of them. If you have any questions just ask before locking
this up to work on it.

Perhaps you should explain to the uninitiated what it is and does.

Good question I don't know.I hoped that it would be of interest
to this group.

?!

Anyway... from their website:

----------------------------------------

Text Control Downloader is Windows software that lets you download
all files in a list of URL's. Tcd is Fast, efficient, free, and
spam free!

TcD is so easy to use we can explain every option in just this one
page! Take a moment to read what each button does, then check out
the sample .tcd file.

Thanks, but no thanks, wget does just that and is a lot more
tweakable. And if you need a GUI, there's always WGetGUI:

I'd like to find some program that can GRAB links from an HTML file and
download them.

Anybody knows any?

As an "extra" feature, I would like to see such a program that can take
images (in <IMG> tag) and download. ¹

¹ I find that many sites use 'relative' pathnames, e.g. if the site is
http://foo and the image is stored in http://foo/bar.jpg, the site will
use <IMG SRC="bar.jpg"> .

Thanks.

I don't use it, but mabe the DownThemAll extension for Firefoz will
suit your needs.

<http://downthemall.mozdev.org/>

DtA lets you download in just one click all the links or images
contained in a webpage; to refine your preferences you can use
fully customizable filters, and select just the kind of files you
really want to download.

Yup. Firefox + DownThemAll extension seems to be an option (I don't
know it myself).

Personally, I use a download manager
(http://freedownloadmanager.org, but any will do) and the FlashGot
extension in Firefox. You can send all files on a page, in a
selection or individually to the download manager.

If the html file is a website:
I user Spiderzilla in Firefox for what you demand.
http://spiderzilla.mozdev.org/
It is the FF extension of stand-alone HHTrack
http://www.httrack.com/
