I've got a LAN that is behind a router, on DSL at work. I need to access my
work terminal from home too. Can Netmeeting do that even behind a router?

Yes, you can do that. But the best way to do is setup VPN.

Are you talking about using NetMeeting Remote Desktop Sharing (RDS)? If so, you need to forward TCP
Port 1503 in the router to the private static LAN IP of the PC you want to connect to and call using
the public IP of the router. See this KB article for basic help with RDS...

To start NetMeeting on an XP box go to "Start | Run" and type conf at the command line...

If your home or work PC that you want to access is running XP Pro you can also use Remote Desktop,
which is built-in and more fully featured...

Note that NetMeeting RDS is *NOT* compatible with Remote Desktop...

Yes the RDS is what we're after. I know how to run it, but have never
gotten past password issues with it.

Same with the new 'Remote Desktop' which also gives me password grief. What
is the method to setup passwords for it? Just adding a passworded user in
XP does not fix the problem.

Thanks very much.
