Something that doesn't require a specific browser?

I'm using Sage and FF live bookmarks but would rather keep the RSS
separate from the browser. I like Sage but there are still some bugs
in it and those bugs become browser problems (like eating all the
bookmarks)

Seconded; excellent program.

(Also small, and non-installing.)
The current version 2.90 seems to be only an install.

Interesting; thanks -- the non-install version I'm using is
2.7/build 645.

(I downloaded 2.90 but never got around to installing it; I think
I'll stick with 2.7, as it seems to work OK for me.)

Looking into this, I don't recall how I got that as a non-install,
as the currently-available package for 2.7.646 -- I misread the
build number; it's 646, not 645 -- is an installing .exe.

I can only guess that when I originally downloaded it, there must
have been an option for a .zip file -- it certainly resides in my
"standalone apps" folder rather than in its own C:\Program Files
folder.

Odd.

Odd.
Usually someone like Mel finds a no-install zip file, but not this time.

I have a Dell 700mhz I use for trials, install, copy, uninstall. than
use the executable on my old P166. Some of these uninstalls leave
garbage in registry so I feel better about cleaning the registry in a
non-critical computer.
