Hi gang,

I want something I can use
to SUBSCRIBE to Podcasts
and to DOWNLOAD them to
a Folder of my Choice.

No spyware or Adware of course.

What do you podcasters use?

Which one is best?

it's the only one i've tried, so i can't tell you if it is the best one,
but it seems ok.

I downloaded this one and installed it with
no problems. It is great! Just don't try to
IMPORT any .opml files or you will pickup
whatever those people had in the way of
SUBSCRIPTIONS.

I made that mistake and downloaded
a .opml file that was made by some
Jesus Freak (not that there is anything
wrong with that,) who had subscribed to
about 350 Church Sermon Sites and you
can only delete 1 subscription at a time.

Oh boy, wasn't that fun. :O(

But CHECK OUT THE PODPICKLE
Links in the Directory. If you click on
those links they will give you continually
updated lists of NEW PODCASTS and
ones that have been around for awhile.

I highly recommend JUICE. It is
easy to use and creates a download
file for each of your subscriptions THAT
you DOWNLOAD, in your My Documents
Folder.

Here are some great websites with
POD links to get you started.
http://www.publicradiofan.com/podcasts.html
http://www.digitalpodcast.com/show_alpha.php
http://www.podcast.net/

Enjoy the world of PODCASTS! I am hooked.
I don't even own a portable podcaster like IPOD
but will get a generic one from Fry's electronics
soon I am sure.

Likewise, I've only tried the one, but seems pretty good to me:

I just gave it a try. Similar functionality but juice has a few advantages:

multilingual interface
more config options
doesn't require .NET Framework

And gives you zero control over whether or not you want the subdirs,
and what they're called (at least from my experience when it was
called ipodder). Bugs the crap outta me and may break one of the OP's
criteria.
