AOL will work with Windows Mail:

An unpaid Yahoo account won't work with Windows Mail.

GMAIL will work, but is harder to set up under Windows Mail:

Since they don't seem to have written instructions for Windows Mail
yet, use their instructions for Outlook Express but under Windows
Mail instead.

I haven't tried any of them.
