I've tried to install BCM on a new machine but I can't get past a major stumbling block. I installed from the CD, then installed both the service packs/patches available, but the same problem still remains: when I hit the finish button on the startup create database part, I get a dialog box saying "the requested object does not exist" . The only option is to press the ok button. I can continue and I can see the Business Contact Manager folder on the left hand side, with all the options i.e. Create Account, Contact etc. If I go to do that, when I try to save the information I get a box saying the item could not be saved to this folder...
It's at this point I will note that I am using Groupwise 6.55 as the email client and the machine is running off a Server with Novell 4.9. According to Microsoft though BCM should be practically stand alone. I do intend sharing the BCM database over a number of machines, but for now I would like to be able to start getting the DB setup.
Any help would be much appreciated. I've googled this and searched through forums to no avail. I would imagine it's to do with the fact I'm running Groupwise but if you could set me straight, it'd be great.
