I am running Windows XP Pro, With Office 03 PRO. I am on
a network with exchange, using Outlook with Exchange. I
want to install BCM, but cannot due to the exchange
issue. If I change my mail to POP 3, and give up the
Exchange Server advantages, will I be able to install BCM?

Please Help! This is making me crazy!

Create another profile that does not include Exchange as a service, just
POP3 - not sure if it works with IMAP accounts.

I have tried this, it still is not an install option for
me. Is there a registry entry that is changed when the
machine has previously been on an exchange server?

Whats supposed to happen is that if you decline the prompts to create a BCM
database you never get prompted again unless you start with an alternate
profile but I am unsure if this process would still happen if your first
attempt was with Exchange, have you got the following key in the registry.
HKEY_Local_Machine\SOFTWARE\MICROSOFT\OFFICE\OUTLOOK\ADDINS\Microsoft.Busine
ssSolutions.eCRM.OutlookAddIn.Connect.1
In the right hand pane have you a LoadBehavior (REG_DWord) and have you a
value against it.
