Bass/treble control

I would like to have the ability to adjust bass and treble.
This is inside volume control and advanced settings.
However, when I open advanced settings, the button is gray,
like it is not available.

Do I need a new driver or something?

Do I not have a good enough soundcard?

It needs to be supported by your sound card. Check your manufacturer's site for
a newer driver.
