Basic quesns

Hi
I'm new to XPe. I installed an image of XPe but the network and CD is not working
I ran a setup for an app from local machine which tried to install MSDE but the setup gave an error saying "Cannot locate msiexec.exe"
Is there something wrong while I'm creating image which created problem with CD drive and network? Aren't files like msiexec.exe part of the image
Any information on XPe installation is highly appreciated

msiexec.exe should be present on your machine, its installed as a part of
Windows Installer/MSI. Please go through the getting started guide and
ensure your PC fulfills the minimum system requirements for XP Embedded as
listed on:

http://msdn.microsoft.com/embedded/prodinfo/sysreq/xp/default.aspx

The items that you mentioned: CD, MSI, Network components are all components
that the system designer is responsible for adding to the image during
build-time. If you are using the XP Embedded tools, you should have no
problem locating these items in Target Designer.

There are plenty of articles at http://msdn.microsoft.com/embedded/xp/ and
also the product documentation included with the tools suite should get you
rolling.
