The Analyzer is flagging a file because the file version is higher than what the analyzer expects. Where do I find information about the different versions of an file, specifically an operating system file.

My assumpting is that the new file is more current. But if Microsoft did not provide the new file, perhaps I have a problem that needed more investigation.

You are most likely fine.
Higher versions (finally seem to always) include fixes
made at lower versions.
What happens is that the XML file used for this security
patch checking only takes into account versions released
in security patches for the OS. Hence, when a security
patch for say Media Player is installed it can provide a
new version that is higher than what the XML file states
should be expected.
