badurl message

I have IE 6.0 SP1 and am trying to run MSN 8.0. I can get
a valid modem connection, but when I try to get to a web
page I get a bad url message every time. According to My
internet provider (MSN), this is some problem with either
my system (Windows ME) or a glitch in my IE 6.0. Any ideas?
