Dear all,
On my PIII system, 256 MB and 2 harddisks, Windows XP Prof. is
installed. The other day my system crashed and I couldn't reboot again
(seemed that no harddisks where found). I rebooted the system with
Partition Magic 5.5 diskettes and it gives me the details that both
harddisk had error 1527: Bad Update Sequence Number.
Browsing through this newsgroup, I learned that there are some issues
with versions of Partition Magic and NTFS. Windows XP uses NTFS 3.1,
and only Partiction Magic v7.0> support this.
I don't know what really happend to my system but repearing Windows XP
does also not work because some critical .dll's are missing. So I'm
stuck... I really need some data on these harddisks. Does anybody have
an idea how to recover this?
Thanks,
