bad startup item??

Small problem at log in with sound and blackout of screen
(just for a few seconds). Identified the following with
Startup and Shutdown Troubleshooter. Problem has
something to do with
startup item: NvCpl
command: RUNDLL>EXE C:\WINDOWS\System32
\NvCpl.dll,NvStartup
location: SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\run
Problem does not occur when this item is unchecked during
selective startup. How do I fix this? Thanks
 
If you have a notebook computer, visit the manufacturer's support
website to obtain the latest video adapter drivers. If you have a
desktop computer, visit http://www.nvidia.com/view.asp?IO=winxp-2k_44.03
to obtain the NVIDIA drivers.
