my question is can i fix sectors in hard drive.

after you have it connected as the slave and and your previous 2nd switched over
to 1st and made bootable by putting an OS on it.
You run Chkdsk on the bad drive till it shows no more errors.

Hi,

You can't fix bad sectors. If they are there, then eventually the drive
itself will probably fail - they don't get better, only worse. Sometimes the
progression is slow, sometimes very rapid. You can confirm this by
downloading a drive diagnostic from the manufacturer, and running it on the
machine. It will give you a good idea of the condition of the drive.

Bad sectors are not fixed, only marked for non use. It is possible that
those are the only bad sectors you will ever have but not likely. If you
continue to use the drive, more sectors may begin to fail and give you all
kinds of blue screen errors and lockups. It's best to replace it.

You can fix bad sectors on a hard drive.Check this link for a program
that does a low level format and repairs bad sectors in the
process.Steve Gibson has been around a long time and I have personally
used this program for several years.
