I work for a reseller, and we are now getting different
color product keys. I heard someone say that if you have
a pc that was installed with a different color sticker,
the other color won't activate. We have an imager pc
setup and it has an xp image on it that was created with
blue sticker, now we have green stickers that say they are
invalid when we reseal windows.

Has anyone heard of this and if so is there a way to load
the proper file(s) to fix it or do we need an image for
each color product id?

Thanks.

Clay,

Have you talked with your MS OEM Licensing person?

This is the first that I've heard of different (incompatible) color PK
labels and I attended a MS Reseller event just last week where they were
discussing rolling out OEM OS for enterprise and business installations.

Hello Clay,
There should only be Blue and Orange product key stickers.
There should not be any Windows Green COA keys so I am sure what product
key is on those Green Stickers.
Thanks,
Darrell Gorter[MSFT]
