My Windows XP Pro install has had generate within it some bad memory. As a result I cannot properly repair it (I get a fatal error which states it can't install this and this and this and my CD ID code isn't correct and other incorrect crap like that), and I have some files encrypted in this Windows XP install, along with my Desktop and My Documents folder. Any idea how I can either decrypt these files using a second Windows XP install or reallocate bad memory sectors outside of the partition proper so I can repair without installing onto them?

encryption, eh....ya' be a spy or sumthin'....
me thinks your kinda outta luck on those files..
best advice....stop usin' that spy stuff after this.....
plus ...it's sounds like you have a pirated copy of XP...
probably have to start totally fresh with a legit copy of XP...

I've had my copy of XP Pro for about three years, thanks. It's an academic edition, which means my college resold them, but other then that, totally legit. this problem occured because I had to repair windows every time i transfered out my hard drives, the only decent way to transport my information. I would not be in this predicament if Microsoft did not have this shitty activation system.
