When upgrading to XP from 98SE, some driver files were
listed as "bad" and could not be installed. Where can I
get a good copy of these files (such as wdmaud.drv) since
it appears that my sound will not install without them.

Windows update will have them,or check the personalize
update,then click the box,"show update catalog",then
choose hardware. The mfg web site might be a good place
to start.

The files I think I'm missing are from the Windows XP CD,
and they seem to be base sound files for Windows.
Reinstalling and updating the drivers for the sound have
no effect. Windows still reports "no audio device
installed" and reinstalling the nVidia drivers generates a
message that the file contains invalid data.
