I am writing this on my (Pam's) computer, because Ashley
got a new eMachine for Christmas. It resets and says it
has encountered a serious error and we should contact
Microsoft. We cannot do that on her computer because it
locked up during the initial set up and we have yet to
configure the internet. Could you call us at 317-535-
7277...It would help our Christmas immensely! Santa has
disappointed this child. Thank you.

Hi there.
This newsgroup isn't really monitored by Microsoft - it's a peer support
forum. Occasionally, a few Microsoft employees hang out here, but they do
so on their own time.

If you post more details about the problems you're experiencing to the
newsgroups, we may be able to help you solve them.

It's not a good idea to post your phone number, or real email address in
peer support newsgroups. You will now probably not start getting lots of
spam email, most of which want to sell you something to enlarge a part of
your body plus dinner time phone calls to sell you trips to places you could
care less about.

You need to contact eMachines by phone, and if they can't help you take it
back to the store and get it replaced. Microsoft is not responsible for the
support of OEM systems.
