Sometimes, when you remove malware it will stop your TCP/IP
stack from working (Internet connection).
Winsock or LSP-fix will correct the problem,Download first.
Note to anyone using NOD32 Anti-Virus software,Do Not delete the
"imon.dll" this fix reports,That is your e/mail scanning engine.

YES-You need more than 1 malware program,I use all of these.

Wrong. Backweb isn't malware in and of itself. It's a "content" delivery
program which can is designed to be used as a component by other systems.

Those other systems may well be malware themselves, or they may well not be.
That website and your statement is like claiming that the .net framework is
malware because some adware also uses that.

I'd suggest the original poster scans with a decent spyware scanner and a
decent virus scanner to check what is on their system, and also finds out
what application installed backweb and why it installed it. This is where
the answer lies, not with backweb itself.

It is true that backweb MAY? be a legit process for updating some software,
but this link shows that most likely it is or can be a type of malware,I
suggest that the poster remove it and update his system manually.

*sigh* if you found it in google it must be true, right?

Backweb is inert. It is neither good or evil itself. It's used on the
machine i'm working from right now to update the antivirus software, for
example.

The correct answer, as i've already said, is to stop fussing about backweb
and instead fuss about the things installing and using it.
