I located an article on Backup Utility. It refers to
using the CD-ROM in the ValueAdd folder, which I do not
see listed on any of my CD's. Is this a featurre that
has to be purchased?

Thanks.

If you have an OEM version of XP that folder may not be present. It is
available on retail copies of the XP CD.

According to XP Windows Help and Support on my computer, Windows Backup was
a part of Windows 98. The article is titled:
How to Back Up and Restore Files with Microsoft Backup

What is it that you want to do, that is different from periodically copying
your files to a floppy or a CD-R?

If you go to the command prompt, the XCOPY command works in conjunction with
the archive attribute, so that only files that have changed will be copied
to your backup medium. If you back up onto a hard disk, you can use
Accessories->System Tools->Scheduled tasks to arrange for backups to be
taken automatically at designated times.
