You can contact Dell for a XP CD.
BTW, I have never heard any bad feedback from the One computer guy source.
Although you are following good computer procedure.

It is not a substitute for a real backup. I prefer imaging over a backup.

Imaging is the exact cloning of a hard drive or partition to a compressed
file that can be restored to a hard drive exactly as it was when it was
created. Depending on the software used to clone the drive; some allow you
to restore individual files or folders from the image to your current system
if a file is lost or corrupted. Some applications also allow you to create
incrimental backups of the images. Do a Google search on imaging and you wll
get a lot of information on imaging.
The FAST tool is very usefull if you can only restore your system to it's
original shipped state and you have all the additional software to reinstall
the programs that FAST backs up and you import into the restored program.
