Backup Utility

How do you recover the backup function in outlook if it
disappears from the "File" tab.

I have tried Reinstall a couple times without success,
also gone as far as removing it from the registry and
then reinstalling.... but without success.

The Backup utility should also be shown in OL under Addins, however if it
fails to function see below;



The add-in may not be registered correctly. So, try registering the dll with

the following steps.



1. Exit Outlook.

2. On the Start menu click Run

3. In the Open box type the following and click OK.



regsvr32 "c:\program files\microsoft office\office\addins\outbak.dll"



NOTE: You may need to adjust the above path to Outbak.dll to match the

location on your computer.



4. After running the command line start Outlook.
