Backup Utility

Hi All

I am using Windows XP Home Edition. When trying to install the Backup Utility from my CD by navigating to the ntbackup.msi file and double-clicking it, I received the following error message

"The Windows Installer Service could not be accessed. This can occur if you are running Windows in safe mode, or if the Windows Installer is not correctly installed. Contact your support personnel for assistance.

I was not in safe mode. Can anyone explain what I need to do. TI

To solve this problem, perform the steps given below:

1. Click Start
2. Click Run
3. Type msiexec /regserver and press enter

If the problem persists,

1. Click Start
2. Click Run
3. Type sfc /scannow

If still, perfrom the steps given in the URL given below:
