Backup transfer

I am having problems with transferring backup files from
old Pentium 2 computer with win 98 to new Pentium 4
computer with win XP.Backup restore on XP cannot see data
on disks from 98 backup.Can anyone out there please help.

I assume your backup file was created by your Win98 backup
program. If so then I would restore the file, using that same
backup program. Alternatively, the files still exist on your
Win98 disk then you could simply install the Win98 disk
as a slave disk in your WinXP PC and transfer the files.
