What I'm trying to do is backup everything on my system
right now so that I can reformat it and partition it into
halves. I would like to backup all my files on the C:
drive so that I can just copy it all over to the partition
after I reformat it.

I've tried to backup my entire HD to a CD-R or DVD+R and
can't seem to do it. I tried
the "Programs/Accessories/System Tools/Backup" program,
but to no avail. It went ahead and burned a bunch of
stuff to my first CD-R, but then just quit and said that
it didn't finish.

I tried using this feature first because it said that I
would be able to boot it up from a floppy disk and then
restore everything.

Is there another way to backup my HD to some disk?

Thanks,

Andrew

Wouldn,t your HD be a little bigger than a CD-R???
I use a DVD-RW to back up to but I have to make sure that the size of the back
up does NOT exeed the size of the DVD.....or else I get the same error message
