Want to have a backup of my XP hard disk incase of failure. What are the best options (bootable image, external hd etc.)?

Hi,

Many like disk imaging as a means of quickly recovering from a totally
failed drive. The image should be kept on another drive or burned to DVD
media and updated regularly to be of the most use.

Rick, can a program like Acronis make this image bootable? I mean if I have
a failure, I could just buy I new hd for example and boot to the image and
it would install?

No matter what you use. It's always a good idea to keep your most
important data in several folders and burn it to "write once" CD now and
then.

Thank you all.
