Backup Question

When I shutdown my computer every now and then as it is shutting down I get a
message "Backing up personal files" or something like this...sory can't be
specific enoungh for the exact wording. When this happens a saving type
folder appears as the animation indicates the passing of folders.

Can anyone advise me what is happening here and where it is backing up to or
how I can determine where it is backing up to. I ask this because I am not
aware of ever configuring a backup arrangement.

Please excuse the long wined explanation.

Does it say Synchronising files? Are you on a network? Is My Documents
redirected to another computer on the network?
