I have downloaded and installed the PST Backup Add-in for my Outlook 2003.
The instructions tell me to click File - Backup.
There IS no 'Backup' on the File menu.

Is there something I'm missing?

I assume that you have tried it after rebooting ? I have the Backup (Alt B)
the last thing in the file menu before Print, I do not use the Automatic
show headers, and have the full headers showing all the time and Backup
seems to work fine. I looked around for ways to turn it off to see if I
could duplicate what you have and did not see any options. So....I am
stumped

I have the same problem. It only appears in the File menu when I run Outlook
from a priviledged account - not very useful for me. I like to run
day-to-day from a non-priv account.

I have the same problem. Interestingly enough, when I
try to reinstall the utiliy, it says it's already
installed, but I can't remove it from Add/Remove Programs
or the Add-Ins, and it doesn't appear to exist within the
Registry. Any ideas where the registy mappings are for
this utility?

Try selecting Tools/Options/Other/Advanced/COM Add-Ins.
Then add outback.dll from the office 10 or office 11
directory and it should work fine. You should now see
the Backup option under the File Menu. Additionally, the
backup utility should prompt you when exiting the Outlook
application.

There's no such animal in my computer.
