far it asked me 2 insert a floppy disk i did a recieved this message "The
backup file name could naot be used A;\ backup.bkf Please ensure it is a
valid path and that you have suffcient access". Well, i belong to the
administrators group on MY computer and the floppy drive seems to be working
fine. When i tried to format the floppy the only option it gave me was for
FAT also and i know im using the NTFS file system. I have had this computer
for 6 months so i am trying to backup my data b4 anything happens. Ihave read
all the info in the help and support section on my computer so now im here.

Yeah - you cannot REALLY format the floppy with Windows any way but "FAT".
It's a floppy diskette.. We are not talking any advantage (or even room)
for the NTFS overhead.

Perhaps you should burn to another drive or even your C drive and then burn
the result to CD/DVD?
(In other words, is choosing to backup to a 1.44MB floppy disette really a
good choice for how much you may be wanting to backup?)
